From Joe DiPietro and David Bryan (original founding member and keyboardist/vocalist for Bon Jovi), the Tony Award-winning team behind the hit West End musical ‘Memphis’, this acclaimed rock musical dubbed “an intoxicating blast of fun” by The Daily Telegraph in their 5-star rave review and the Daily Express says ‘“To anyone that has seen the Book of Mormon, this is a must-see younger brother of a show!”
Toxie is a seven-foot mutant freak with superhuman strength and a supersized heart to match. He’s out to save New Jersey, end global warming, win the heart of the prettiest (blindest) librarian in town and get home in time for dinner in this toxic love story with an environmental twist.
Based on the 1984 cult classic, The Toxic Avenger tells the story of the citizens of Tromaville who are crying out for a hero. Enter Melvin Ferd the Third, an aspiring earth scientist determined to clean up the toxic waste problem. When a corrupt Mayor and her government goons get wind of his plans, they vow to stop this heroic feat, Melvin is tossed into a vat of toxic waste, and transformed into The Toxic Avenger, New Jersey’s first superhero!

We had a great evening, lots of fun, would have preferred less emphasis on the love element though. All actors very talented, well worth it and good value for money. Liked the small theatre.
The show was amazing and the actors definitely great, but the sex and porn references, a bit too much, in my opinion. We would have enjoyed it better with less reference to sex (or, at least, a more subtle ones). Also, there was no parental advise anywhere on ticket purchasing site or in the description of contents, I have seen many parents leaving because of the strong language used throughout the show. I think, there could have been, at least, a warning for parents that have purchased the tickets, considering that the tickets are rather pricey on weekends.
I must have mishit the button on my computer I wanted to see the sunday matinee not the sat one when I realised my mistake I rang London theatre direct to see if they could move the ticket to sunday.i was told tickets were non refundable thanks London theatre direct for an absolute no help at all I will never use your company again nor recommend them.awful service.
Funny, excellent acting, friendly venue and a lovely faux redhead.
Seeing it the 2nd time was even better, the cast had just as much fun performing as the audience did watching. I hope for more musical adaptations of Troma films.
Very funny and the cast were fantastic
Just hilariously funny. Great afternoons entertainment. My cheeks are still hurting!
One of the funniest shows I have ever seen So good I brought my daughter tickets
Great show, very funny! Thoroughly enjoyable :)
It was loud, fun and environmentally conscious experience. The venue is a smaller size but comfortable and with bar (selling quite nice wine & snacks) upstairs.
Hilarious musical with a brilliant cast in a great little theatre - fab night out
Loud, rude, full of energy and very funny. We loved it!
