Witness the colour, energy and sheer exuberance of Bollywood as a new musical explodes onto the West End stage this May direct from sell out performances in Mumbai. Beyond Bollywood takes audiences on a truly authentic cultural tour of India capturing the fire, heat and desire of Indian dance.
Shaily Shergill leaves behind her home to journey to India in the hope of fulfilling her mother’s dying wish, to revive her family’s failing theatre. But will her sacrifices pay off and can she stage the ultimate show?
Written, choreographed and directed by Rajeev Goswami, with lyrics by Irfan Siddiqui and featuring an original score by Salim-Sulaiman, the very best of Bollywood’s creative talent bring this spectacular event to life for 60 performances only.
Beyond Bollywood is not just a musical; it’s a theatrical experience never seen before outside a Bollywood movie.

The venue as ideal for this show. The stage lighting and screens and props were very good. The Punjabi part could have been more with the recent times. It was quite old fashioned. Punjab has always moved with the times and has a lot of influence from London with regards to Bhangra and songs in particular. They had the famous Baby Doll song but there are other famous lilting songs they could have included. Last it not least ....there should have been some kind of sub titles screen to translate the songs as there is a such multicultural audience. In this day age the world over is aware of Bollywood and people would enjoy and understand it more. If a subtitle screen is not feasible then perhaps some translation of the songs in the programmes would be an option.
Not good enough for The London Palladium. Second rate
Great show great dancers good story line and characters played parts well. Really enjoyed the music. Wanted to hear a bit more Bhangra. Didn't enjoy the religious parts could have left those parts out with the elephant thing and Krishna songs. Overall great see a show with lots of energy and feel good factors.
First time ever .... Great experience...Absolutely mesmerised great show ??
It was an exceptional night. The show was great.
Colourful and vibrant show. More dancing than you would expect in a musical. Indian classical was the best part of the show but not enough of it. Other dancing was mediocre.
Booked easily enjoyed show great seats
Fantastic show, great dancing, humour, music, costumes and acting. Kids (7 and 9) loved it!
The costumes were colourful. The dances had a variety. Good feel factor
It was more like an amateur production poorly rehearsed and cheesy acting
Colourful, vibrant & full of energy. Enjoyed to start to end.
Excellent entertainment. Beautiful dancing . Not easy to capture diversity of India but this show did it.
